Meet Our Team
OUR POLE FAIRY GODMOTHERSOUR POLE FAIRY GODMOTHERS
At Pole Culture, our instructors are more than teachers.
They are guides, supporters, and quiet believers in your becoming.
We lovingly call them our Pole Fairy Godmothers — because they don’t just teach movement, they help you remember your strength.
Katlego, Lead Instructor
Katlego is a certified pole dance instructor and movement practitioner with a deep love for strength-based training and embodied movement.
She began her pole and movement journey in her 30s — a reminder that there is no such thing as “too late” when it comes to strength, confidence, and embodied practice.
Katlego became a certified pole dance instructor in 2022, followed by her yoga teacher certification in 2023. Her movement practice is rooted in pole, yoga, and calisthenics — disciplines that together build strength, flexibility, control, and body awareness.
Once Katlego found Pole, she became fully immersed in the practice. During the COVID period, when access to pole training was limited, she turned to calisthenics to maintain and build strength, and to yoga to deepen flexibility and mobility. These practices didn’t replace pole — they expanded how she understands the body and movement as a whole.
Katlego has competed in multiple pole dance competitions, but teaching has always remained central to her practice.
What she loves most about being an instructor is witnessing transformation in real time — seeing women grow stronger, trust their bodies more, and accomplish things they once believed were impossible. She delights in those quiet, magical moments when students realise their own capability, confidence, and resilience.
For Katlego, teaching is about more than technique.
It’s about helping women recognise their own strength — their superpowers — and gently guiding them as belief grows alongside physical ability.
Vatiswa, Instructor
Vatiswa is a movement practitioner and pole dance instructor with a deep appreciation for strength, fluidity, and intentional movement.
Her journey into movement began as a personal exploration — a way to reconnect with her body, build strength, and express herself more freely. She became a certified pole dance instructor in 2023, and has since expanded her practice through yoga and strength-based training.
Vatiswa’s approach blends pole, mobility, and conditioning — creating a balanced practice that supports both strength and grace, while encouraging deeper body awareness.
What she values most about teaching is witnessing growth — seeing students become stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves.
For Vatiswa, it’s about more than movement.
It’s about helping others trust their bodies and step into their own power.
